From a young age, I was passionate about cricket. Growing up, I dreamed not only of playing the sport but also of creating something that celebrated the game I’ve always loved. After completing my degree in Hotel Management and Marketing, that dream took shape: I envisioned a space where the energy of cricket would meet the elegance of Indian fine dining.

That vision became The Cricket Lounge — a restaurant where passion, culture, and hospitality come together. Inspired by the spirit of cricket and the richness of Indian tradition, we offer a refined dining experience rooted in authentic Indian cuisine and elevated with creativity.

Our menu features bold, flavourful dishes that showcase the diversity of Indian cooking, including standout seafood and signature fish curries. Each dish is crafted with care, balancing tradition and innovation to deliver a truly memorable meal.

To complete the experience, our bar offers a thoughtfully curated drinks menu — featuring Indian-inspired cocktails, classic favourites, alcohol-free mocktails, premium spirits, fine wines, and speciality beers. Rohit Kaila (Founder & Operations Consultant)
With nearly 30 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Rohit Kaila brings a deep-rooted passion for Indian cuisine and a steadfast commitment to genuine service. Over the years, he has held senior leadership roles, including more than 15 years as a Lead General Manager with Mitchells & Butlers, where he mentored future leaders across both kitchen and front-of-house operations.
Rohit has also served as a House of Excellence Leader, elevating operational standards across the UK, and has worked with Michelin-starred restaurants and AA Rosette-awarded establishments, gaining a wealth of experience in premium dining environments.
Driven by a lifelong dream, he founded The Cricket Lounge in North Cheam, London — a concept where his love for cricket meets his dedication to fine Indian cuisine and hospitality. Within just three years, the restaurant proudly rose to become one of the Top 10 Indian Restaurants in London and the #1 rated Indian restaurant in Surrey on both Google and TripAdvisor.
Chef Asrar (Head Chef)
With over a decade of culinary experience across continents, Chef Mohamad Asrar brings a global perspective and refined technique to every dish. He honed his skills at the acclaimed Dishoom in London, and has worked with prestigious establishments including the Taj Hotel in Delhi and several AA Rosette-awarded restaurants in Central London. He has also trained under Celebrity Chef Atul Kochar, further deepening his mastery of contemporary Indian cuisine.
Now leading the kitchen at The Cricket Lounge, Chef Asrar brings a vision that fuses authenticity with innovation. His passion for pan-Indian cuisine shines through in a thoughtfully curated menu that celebrates the depth, diversity, and heritage of Indian flavours — reimagined with modern flair and precision.
